Visit the traditional German market in Southampton city centre. Featuring totally unique, individually designed alpine chalets with traditional German fayre, from bratwurst and waffles to gingerbread hearts and candied fruit. The market includes over 40 independent stallholders offering a range of hand-made, authentic gifts including wooden toys, clothing, jewellery as well as Christmas decorations.
Until the 6th January, Southampton’s 900sq metre ice-rink will be open daily throughout the festive period, except on Christmas Day. Skate against a stunning backdrop of Christmas trees, fairy lights and the historic City Walls of Southampton, and then pop into Mogul’s cosy log cabin for a deliciously warming post-skate drink.

Nuffield Southampton Theatres premieres their first locally made children’s show for under 5s in NST City Studio Theatre next week: Humbug! The Hedgehog Who Couldn’t Sleep. This brand new, funny and uplifting tale for children will run from 13 – 30 December and is a co-production with Dumbshow, a theatre company who specialise in making theatre for young children.
