Southampton Christmas Festival returns to Above Bar pedestrian precinct and Bargate Street from Friday 16 November – Sunday 23 December 2018. Discover the traditional German market with log-cabin stalls selling traditional and handmade gifts. See Father Christmas as his sleigh and reindeers fly across the top of the market, followed by a visit around the market with sweets for the children.
Christmas at Marwell Zoo is a magical event. Marwell Hall turns into a festive wonderland and you and the family can enjoy stories with Mother Christmas, Christmas bag making in the elves workshop, and of course a visit to Father Christmas himself where children will receive a gift. Your experience will last around 60-80 minutes and includes zoo entry, make sure you book early to avoid disappointment!
The Christmas ball at Careys Manor Hotel is a fantastic way to enjoy the festive season! Dress to impress and enjoy the sophisticated and traditional festive cheer. Hampshire Farmers’ Markets on Oxford Street will return with a festive feel to the monthly market on Saturday 1st December. You’ll be able to buy your favourite fresh produce and stock up with seasonal specialities, all from local Hampshire producers. Enjoy the jolly atmosphere and treat yourself to festive lunch or drink at Oxford Streets wonderful venues.

After last year’s sell-out run of Who Sleighed Santa?, local Murder Mystery company, MurderedforMoney bring you ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Murder‘ with Santa, and his friends, returning to the Nuffield Southampton Theatres Campus Café Bar on the 5th and 6th December for an interactive evening of mischief and mayhem, perfect for Christmas parties or a fun night out with family and friends.
For something a little more light-hearted and family-friendly return to Nuffield Southampton Theatres from the 13-30 December for ‘Humbug! The Hedgehog Who Couldn’t Sleep‘. A brand new funny and uplifting tale of friendship and belonging with original music and charming characters to entertain children and adults alike.
Turner Simms Southampton brings you ‘Jingle Bell Jazz Family Concert‘ on the 16 December. ABC Concerts will get you into the festive spirit with all your favourite Christmas melodies played by the Jingle Bell Jazz Band. You will dance, wriggle, clap, cheer and sing your way through this interactive and fun concert for all the family.
Experience the new magical, after-dark, illuminated trail through the grounds and gardens of the Beaulieu visitor attraction this Christmas. With the tunnel of light, singing trees, seasonal food, Father Christmas, and his elves!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the romantic tones of Michael Buble! See the fantastic Michale Buble tribute act at The Grand Harbour Hotel on the 1st December. You’ll enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival, a three course dinner, and can dance the night away to Buble!
