From 1 August to 1 October, enjoy The Great Brick Safari: An Interactive Experience with LEGO® Bricks EXCLUSIVE to Marwell Zoo! Over 2 million LEGO bricks will be used to form a trail of 80 stunning animal sculptures.

Southampton Fake Festival – Southampton’s first Fake-fest, last year, was a rocking success – the riverside is a stunning place to party! The festival is returning on the 12th August to bring you an awesome triple line-up of fake bands for Bon Jovi, Arctic Monkeys and Blondie. This will be serious fun, book now!

Don’t miss the British theatrical sensation, Stomp, when it comes to Mayflower Theatre Southampton from 16-19 August. It’s an infectious mix of percussion, dance, theatre and comedy.

Southampton Pride is returning to the city on the 26th August and will unit all communities into one family friendly event with a wide range of food and drink, live music, local acts, fringe events and entertainment. It kicks off with a morning Parade with events from midday until late.

Delve inside how your mind develops over time in Brainstorm, on 24-25 August at Nuffield Southampton Theatres. This celebrated play presented by Hampshire County Youth Theatre 2017 explores how we develop into the adults we become.

This August will see the new opening of ‘Supermarine’ restaurant, the third instalment in the Woolston Waterside development, named after Supermarine who built the Spitfire during WWII. Supermarine will be an Italian inspired restaurant serving wood-fired pizzas, pasta dishes with homemade sauces, risottos, salads and antipasti. The food is inspired by local produce and focuses on being simple but tasty.

August 26th is Southampton Gay Pride and The London Hotel​​ ​will play host to the after party on Sunday 27th with Lucinda Lashes and Rose Garden headlining the late afternoon/evening event.

The world-renowned exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, featuring 100 awe-inspiring images, from fascinating animal behaviour to breath-taking wild landscapes has arrived at SeaCity Museum.

In an exciting summer launch a refreshed World of Top Gear will be opening at Beaulieu this summer. Amazing new exhibits from the world’s biggest motoring show include the impressive Ssangyacht, the longest limousine selfie opportunity ever and a marine gallery displaying boat challenge vehicles.

On Sunday 6th August, you can head off on a SS Shieldhall Solent Cruise with the opportunity to view yachts on the Fastnet Race 10.30am – 4pm. Adulst £42, children £10. Family £94. There’ll be plenty of fun activities at Fort Nelson to keep the children entertained and active this summer, including a Junior Assault Course (£), Hands on History sessions and the Artillery in Action show. Museum admission is free.
