The New Forest Wildlife Park is set in 25 acres of lovely New Forest woodland and is the perfect place to spend the afternoon in the warm sunshine. You can watch the Asian short-clawedImage-2 otters get excited for their dinner at feeding time and see the mighty European bison and the magnificent red deer.

The park itself is very easy to find with ample free parking and there was a straightforward route around the park with everything clearly marked and the paths winding along the vaNewforestwildlifeparkrious animal enclosures. You can also wander through the park on one of their woodland trails and see the animals in their beautiful natural settings.

There is always a friendly keeper around to chat to who can tell you about the foxes, polecats, badgers, owls, otters along with all the other wonderful species of animal that reside there. As you walk around the park you walk into the wallaby area which is open allowing the wallabies to bounce around onto the paths!

If you are with little ones, don’t miss Go Wild and Mini Go Wild, the amazing adventure playgrounds (oh to be that young again!). We here at The Southampton Guide would highly recommend the New Forest wildlife park for a family day out.
