The London Road Brew House in Southampton first opened its doors back in January of 2017 – it has its own micro-brewery and they create their own cask and keg beers; Athena, Kodiak, Hoptopus and Death’s Head Stout to name a few! They have an ever changing array of guest craft brews from the local area, UK and the USA – it is the perfect place to come and unwind after a long days work or for a catch up with friends and family and perfect if you like craft ales!
The building is full of great character and the decor is spectacular with a very welcoming feel. With a curved open bar that allows you to see into the micro-brewery, you cannot help but look around (and up!) to see how stunning the venue is – there are also lots of quirky feels around the place too.
The Brewhouse has 2 floors, with the downstairs being more of the bar area, where live bands perform and sports games are shown. Located on the upper floor, is more of the quiet area, with lots more seating and huge bay windows that allow you to see out. With a beautiful array of lights dangling from the ceiling on this floor, you will certainly have some *light envy*!
If you fancied grabbing a bite to eat when you are there, they have a great pizza menu (with a ‘straight out of Compton’ theme) and there something for everyone on it! Each pizza is made with all fresh toppings on a sourdough pizza base; cooked in their stone-bake pizza oven. It is often described as some of the best pizza in Southampton, (so make sure you add this to your list when in Southampton!)
We at The Southampton Guide will definitely be heading back to The London Road Brewhouse when there is a sporting game on or some live music, it is the perfect place if you are looking for a buzzy atmosphere.
