Southampton Game Festival 2017 – Saturday 6th May

This will now be the 3rd year that this exciting event will be taking place at the 1865 in Brunswick Square, Southampton. Sponsored by Arcade Europe, one of the world’s leading companies of the finest quality arcade machines. There will be many different games and tournaments taking place at this event and it is definitely worth it for the money, tickets being £7 in advance and £8 at the door, and all children under 11 get a free child ticket if they are with a paying adult. Southampton Common People – 27-28th May

This remarkable event hosted by the team of Bestival, will be taking place in the Southampton Common. It is a festival, which consists a music line-up of many amazing acts guaranteed to keep the crowd thrilled and entertained! This will happen over the duration of the Bank Holiday weekend and gates will open at 10.30am on both days. Definitely a sight to see and not worth missing out; there will be very many features included; the traditional funfair rides, world’s biggest bouncy castle, delicious and enjoyable street food, The Kids Area which will have both face painting and wonderful inflatables, as well as much, much more! On the first day (Saturday) there will be famous stars such as Tom Odell and Faithless DJ Set, and on the Sunday Sean Paul and The House Gospel Choir, plus many other entertaining acts throughout the duration of the bank-holiday festival. Environmental Rock Festival 2017 – Monday 29th of May

Being held in The Hobbit Pub in Bevois Valley, Southampton, there will be live music, drink and foods, as well as games. Fun for the family; this is a good opportunity to bring along everyone to the pub and have a good time, there will be something for everyone, regardless of whether you are a local resident of Southampton or even just a student. There will be much entertainment going on here, the main aim of the whole festival is to encouraging people to be more aware of the environment around them and living sustainably. There will be local bands playing at the pub, this event starts at 12pm until 6pm. Gung-Ho! Festival 2017 – Saturday 17th of June

Do not miss the opportunity to take part in the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course, whether you are young or old, you will be able to make your way through 10 different and sensational obstacle course! This is a highly recommended which will give you unforgettable memories and different to what you have experienced, and it is always good to try something new! You can either do this on your own, with a group of friends or your family, or even for charity with the BBC Children in Need taking on all these different obstacles as well as the inflatable slide, which is Europe’s tallest. This event is opened to absolutely anyone whether you are an experienced marathon runner or if you just want to have a good time, then this is the perfect place to come to! The Summer Gin Festival 2017 – Saturday 17th of June

This will be the very first Cork and Gin festival taking place and will include different and selected gins from around the UK, and there will also be different tastings and talks from professionals within this industry, provided refreshments and live music to keep everyone thoroughly entertained.

Let’s Rock Southampton! – Saturday 8th July 2017

This will be a fantastic event allowed for all ages, giving you an essence of 80’s music with a line-up of highly entertaining singers. You will have the opportunity to dress in 80’s style clothes and really get a mind-blowing experience of what music was like during this decade. Do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity of the essence of retro music! This fabulous event will be taking place in the fields and open space of the Southampton Common, which is based towards the Northern part of the city centre of Southampton. There will be a wide range of different foods to choose from, varying from a big BBQ, Chinese, Mexican and Indian foods. The most recommended ticket would be the VIP ticket as it is the most popular and is destined to give you a fantastic experience at this festival! Being one of the newest events introduced, this festival is guaranteed to pack your day full of entertainment! There will be many famous singers at the main stage such as Alesha Dixon and Conor Maynard, with a Comedy tent that will have a line up of jokes for both adults and kids, making it a great place for many age ranges to go to! Southampton Mela Festival 2017 – Saturday 15th of July

The biggest free admission, and family-friendly festival is coming back to Southampton! This will be taking place in Hoglands Park, where you will have a good day of family fun with a different mix of dance and music styles around the world such as South Asia, Classical Indian, Flamenco, Bhangra, Bollywood and many more! Southampton Fake Festival – Saturday 12th of August

This event will take place from 1-11pm. The festival itself will be in a lovely location alongside the water with beautiful views at Mayflower Park. This will give you a fantastic experience of many different fake bands such as Bon Jovi and The Arctic Monkeys. Even if there is poor weather on the day you will be sheltered from this by the Marquee, so it will definitely be worth going to if you want a fun-filled day full of music and showing your support for the live music by celebrating and have a good time partying late into the evening. If the weather turns out to be nice on the day of the festival, then there will be some entertainment even though this festival is primarily focussed on the music. There will be a bar and an outside food area, if you enter the festival before 2pm, you will be given a free drinks token! Southampton Pride Festival 2017 – Saturday 26th of August

This popular event will be taking place in the Guildhall Square where there will be plenty of entertainment and also on West Marlands Road, in the Guildhall there will be traders selling a range of different products that will definitely be worth looking at! A world famous festival coming to Southampton. There will be different events going on during this festival over the course of 3 days. This will be taking place in the city centre of Southampton and there will be live bands plus DJ’s, bars where you will be able to buy drinks and different food stalls that will give you more of an insight into Germany! A must go-to event. You can choose from the different bars that will be there, such as the Lederhosen Bar where it is a must to dress up all fancy in order to have a good time.
