14th – 23rd September – Mayflower Park
Britain’s biggest boating festival is coming to Southampton this September, with a showcase of everything from the finest yachts to kayaks, paddleboards and dinghies. To celebrate 50 years of the festival, there is a packed line-up of music and entertainment all throughout the week, including a guest appearance from wildlife presenter, Steve Backshall.
15th September – Nuffield Southampton Theatres
Take a peek behind the curtain of Nuffield Southampton Theatres with a backstage tour that includes pop up performances and fun drama games for children. Then enjoy free food and live music in their restaurant, Tyrrells.
13th October – Royal Victoria Country Park
A great family event, the Autumn Pumpkin Festival and Scarecrow Avenue is fun for all ages. Some of the biggest Pumpkins from the UK will be show at the event, with all of them trying to win the crown as this year’s largest pumpkin. For the more creative types, why not bring your own Scarecrow to add to the ‘Scarecrow Avenue’.
20th October – Mayflower Park
Prepare for the scariest Halloween event in Southampton this October as 6000 people gather in Mayflower Park to celebrate in classic Halloween style. Horrific haunted houses, gruesome graveyards and devilish dance floors will take over Mayflower Park for this 10-hour event.
Friday 26th – Saturday 27th October – Mayflower Park
Oktoberfest is a famous Bavarian festival that is becoming increasingly popular in different countries around the world, including England. Southampton will be celebrating the event with traditional Bavarian drinks, food and music in Mayflower Park.
Last Wednesday of every Month – Tudor House
Immerse yourself in the supernatural side of Southampton with an interactive walk featuring actors that put themselves in the role of the cities most infamous ghosts. The walks are fun, informative, and most importantly, frightening.
25th November – Southampton Common
Get into the Christmas Spirit with Naomi Houses’ charity ‘Santa Fun run’. The 3km route will take you across the city, all while dressed as everyone’s favourite jolly old man. It’s great way to get in the festive spirit whilst also helping out your community.
